Mableton, GA - Creating bold, new opportunities for art communities local and abroad, Hustle & Lo Studios opens its doors this Saturday with a soft opening celebration of black commerce and the unification of the black dollar, also known as “Urban Vendors Market”.
Launched by entrepreneur Yaumar “Hustle” Williams and singer/ songwriter/ creative director Lola Ladaé, Hustle & Lo Studios is a culturally diverse art gallery, artist park and event space. The studio specializes in private events, corporate meetings, art classes and vendor pop-up shops.
Located at 1179 Veterans Memorial Highway SW , Suite B Mableton, Ga., the studio’s soft launch is kicked off with the inaugural bi-weekly event Urban Vendors Market. The market features 15 black vendors, live music and 12 gifted artists showcasing their talents on six-foot-by-six-foot murals.
Each artist is given a theme and three days to paint their mural. The finished product will be judged by prestigious members of the Atlanta art community on overall creativity. The theme of this first market is “the resurrection of black
commerce.”
New artists and different themes will be selected for different events.

“Many of these artists don’t have the opportunity to create in a comfortable space,” explains Ladaé. “They may paint at home on a canvas, or they may paint on the side of a train, on the side of a building or some other place that’s probably illegal to paint. Not only are we giving them a safe space to showcase their craft, but we are also giving them financial opportunities as well.”
“This is the start of something great for the local art community,” Ladaé predicts. “Not only will artists be able to promote their talents locally, but we are recruiting artists who want their art displayed around the city, around the state and around the world.”
The grand opening for Hustle & Lo Studios is scheduled for May 20.
